Elyriq Nova started with a clear vision: premium cleaning for corporate Nigeria. We drifted toward residential work chasing easier wins, learned what that model costs, and returned to the original vision — built smarter, and built to scale.
Corporate organisations across Nigeria — hospitals, banks, hotels, offices — were struggling with the same problem: no reliable, professional cleaning partner they could truly trust.
Small cleaning companies were inconsistent. In-house cleaners were expensive and hard to manage. And nobody was sitting in the middle — bringing structure, accountability, and a premium standard to the entire process. That is the space Elyriq Nova was built to own.
Along the way, our focus shifted toward apartments and residential clients — a response to how hard it was to land corporate work early on. It moved us further from where we actually wanted to be. Residential clients are harder to retain, pay smaller amounts, and put us in a price war with dozens of small cleaning businesses chasing the same customers.
Watching established Lagos cleaning companies struggle to grow from the residential angle — even after years of building a name — made the decision clear: return to the original vision, approached smarter. Not owning every cleaner, every van, every piece of equipment — but owning the relationships and the standard.
